Climate: As in many inland areas of this tropical climate area, in Rio de Janeiro the dry season runs in winter from June to August which is their winter. As Rio far enough south from the Equator to experience a drop in the winter temperature. Highs from May to October are around 26°C. This can be considered as a good time to visit because it's warm but not hot. The sun frequently shines and the rains are quite rare.
